Heart presents Erddig’s annual The Apple Festival event, which takes place on Saturday, 4th and Sunday, 5th October.

The Apple Festival takes place at the National Trust owned property at Erddig in Wrexham, where 180 different type of apples are harvested in the orchards.

Now in its 24th year, The Apple Festival is a fantastic family day out with lots to offer, including cider press demonstrations, live cookery demonstrations, an apple trail, a tour of the orchard, storytelling, live music, poetry, a campfire to cook marshmallow's on, a CAMRA cider bar and have-a-go archery… and of course lots of apples!

On top of this our lovely Heart Angels will be painting faces and presenting other fun activities.

Entry: is £10.30 for adults and £5.15 for children. Entry is free to National Trust members. Gift aid price of £11.50 adult and £5.75 child.

Widely acclaimed as one of Britain's finest historic houses, Erddig is a fascinating yet unpretentious early 18th-century country house reflecting the upstairs downstairs life of a gentry family over 250 years.

As well as the atmospheric house, Erddig is also home to a 485-hectare (1,200-acre) country park and a formal walled garden.

The extensive downstairs area contains Erddig's unique collection of servants' portraits, while the upstairs rooms are an amazing treasure trove of fine furniture, textiles and wallpapers. Outside, an impressive range of outbuildings includes stables, smithy, joiners' shop and sawmill.
