This Tan-Luxe The Glow Body Oil promises stargazing dewy skin so we wanted to put the claims to the

This Tan-luxe body oil that has just launched is here to turn us all into glazed goddesses. Although you may be familiar with the brand's tanning products (those Tan-Luxe Face Drops had the girlies on TikTok spinning), the brand actually has a few DHA-free, non-tanning products that you should not scorn over.

We have been putting those Illuminating Super Gloss Bronzing Drops on our face since its launch to mimic that sunkissed glow even when drowning in the gloomiest British winters. Now, this new addition to the Tan-Luxe family comes in the form of a very sheer and natural glow emitting oil. It can enhance your existing tan, or add a little something-something to your dull, and vitamin D lacking skin.

It's formulated with nourishing plant oils to keep skin feeling supple and smooth, a soothing blend of jojoba, prickly pear and pomegranate. The formula works hard to not only give you an instant glow, amp up your skin complexion, but it also pumps up the skin's natural moisture levels to leave you feeling silky smooth from top to toe, all while leaving you smelling like a comforting summer day.

It's lightweight, yet still nourishing, and sinks into the skin fast to leave your with the most epic subtle shimmer without leaving you looking and feeling like a ball of grease. It also comes packaged in a chic glass bottle with a pump that makes application fast and easy.

Is this about to become Tan-Luxe's new hero product? Well, we've put it to the test and here are five GLAMOUR staffer's truest and most honest thoughts.

As someone who moisturised my whole body every single day, I am keen to use body creams or oils that do all the jobs in one, because who has time? I want something that is hydrating, glides on the body easily and gives a healthy glowy finish to the skin. Although I don't false tan, I do like Tan-Luxe's non-tanning range (the illuminator is a dream), so I was excited to try this one out with good faith.

I'll be honest, it was a rollercoaster of emotions. At first, much like the Tan-Luxe Super Gloss Illuminating Bronzing Drops, it looks like liquid gold. However, as soon as I started massaging it onto the skin, it started to loose it's initial spark. I was a little disappointed as it felt like a-bit-of-nothing really.

However, as I did my second coat, I really started to feel and see the difference. It's oily but not sticky, it's glowy but not unnaturally glittery and it's moisturising enough to last you all day. Although price point wise, it's on the more expensive end, it does feel as luxurious as it looks, so I think I've been converted.

If I'm being totally honest with you, I don't tend to reach for a body oil unless I'm on holiday or going to an event where I want to look really glowy in those all-important Instagram pics. If I'm going to use one outside of that, it'll be because my skin is lacking some serious hydration.

As nourishing as this formula was, I sadly felt it lacked the shimmer I was really hoping for (considering the word 'illuminating' is in its name). It didn't dry down as much as I'd have liked, either, and left a greasy feel to my skin which came off on my clothes. If, however, you dislike the highlighting effect that a lot of body oils provide, and are literally just looking for one that'll give your skin a healthy sheen, then this is spot on.

There's nothing better than going out and feeling like you're glowing for the Gods and body oil is my favourite way to get that feeling. I have some high expectations, though – they can't be too oily or sticky, too shimmery or not shimmery enough that the glow fades after an hour.

The Tan Luxe The Glow Illuminating Oil? Ticked every right box. It felt super nourishing on my skin, without sticking to my clothes, and gave me the obvious visual benefits of pure sunlit glowy goodness. Not to mention, it smells like summer in a bottle. This will be a go-to for evenings out and special occasions (and maybe even the office if I'm feeling extra).

I'm manifesting warmer days when I've got a bit more of a tan going, but until then this smells like dreamy vacays (think creamy coconut and suncream). When it says "glow" it's going down the more hydrating route, so rather than chunks of shimmer it leaves skin deeply hydrated, juicy and healthy-looking. I love it already, but I can't wait to see what it looks like under the summer sunshine (just waiting on you, British weather).

I'm such a Tan Luxe fan – their new Express Mousse is an absolute dream for those of us desperate for a bit of glow, and their hyaluronic acid-charged facial serum is a forever skincare staple of mine. But sadly, I wasn't blown away by the brand's body oil launch.

It has a beautiful sheen and the packaging is characteristically chic, but the texture felt greasy and oily on my skin. As such, I wouldn't rush to slather it on my limbs when I'm here on a normal day in London. I'll reserve it for wear atop a natural tan – across my collar bones and on my arms – on holiday instead.
